Key Responsibilities:
Be the prime internal actor and technical contact for all matters related to E&I systems
Design of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I scope) for Gas Processing, Refining & Petrochemical projects
Prepare ITB/RFQ packages
Follow UOP standards and practices, in compliance with Client-requirements
Develop, redact/issue/revise all Technical UOP specifications for E&I discipline.
Act as the Requisitioner for E&I Packages and provide technical co-ordination for the purchase of E&I components with Procurement
Provide technical follow-up and inspection reports to Group Leader and Project Manager for their follow-up, to ensure technically compliant and timely delivery of units from workshops contracted by UOP.
Cover 3D model reviews, HAZOP, SIL reviews etc.
Manage fabshop/vendors/suppliers, including local supervision and inspections/audits at shops
FAT/SAT for E&I scope
Site supervision for E&I scope at customer sites (if required)
Collaborate closely with other team members from disciplines such as Process, Piping, Pressure Vessels and Project Management.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
Min. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
10 years' experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Power Plant projects
Experience with following systems:
Electrical Systems - Electrical MV/LV Switchgear
Hydraulics & Pneumatics
Mechanical Systems
Power Transmission Components - Power Management Systems
Motor Controls - Relays, Contactors, and Motor Starters.
Strong oral and written communications skills in English.
Ability to lead engineers, budget scope, manage change, and coordinate project deliverables under tight deadlines
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer management skills
Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
Demonstration on a daily basis of a high level of personal integrity
Familiarity with and knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes.
Ability to travel on business trips including lengthy business trips to site during construction and commissioning
