Duties/Responsibilities:

• Installs new HVAC units in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
• Installs ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC system.
• Performs routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate properly.
• Inspects and troubleshoots problems with existing HVAC units.
• Installs replacement parts on existing HVAC units.
• Tests all completed work.
• Routinely keeps track of parts and supplies used on customer jobs and re-stocks inventory on service vehicle
• Attends daily staff meetings, safety meetings, and participates in ongoing training.
• Conducts daily maintenance and safety check of service vehicle; reports any repair issues to immediate supervisor.
• Properly maintains tools and equipment and reports any service/repair issues to immediate supervisor.
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
• Complies with company and industry safety standards.
• May be required to work overtime.
• Pursue every job with drive and determination.
• Performs other relevant duties as assigned by the needs of the business.
• Ensures that each job is performed according to company standards.

Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Ability to use power and hand tools.
• Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC system.
• Ability to read operation and repair manuals/schematics for HVAC systems.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills, as required to interact with customer.
• Ability to represent the company in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for others.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship preferred.
• One to Two years of related experience preferred.

Certifications:

• Valid driver's license.
• EPA Certified Universal Technician license.
