We are currently seeking a Security & Risk Management Intern, directly reporting to our Security & Risk Supervisor, to join our Americas Security team based in Houston, Texas.

About the Job
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Security & Risk Management Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of security and risk management, including Corporate and project Level Incident and Emergency Management, Security Risk Management, Physical and technical Security, Protective Intelligence, Travel Risk Management, and Global Security Initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security studies, excellent writing skills, and a customer service-centric mindset.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of site, project, local and global security plans, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in local and corporate reporting initiatives, and physical security audits.
  • Support the Security & Risk Supervisor in managing and executing security and risk management projects.
  • Work closely with the Houston and Site Security Managers to gain practical experience in managing site security operations.
  • Gain exposure to various corporate disciplines, including finance, P&C, Communications, IT, and more.
  • Provide support in Incident and emergency management trainings across operating centers.
  • Compiles reports, maintains accurate records, and assists in keeping relevant security and incident management databases up to date.
  • Stay current with the latest security technologies and best practices.
  • Stays current and UpToDate on Geopolitical incidents and threats that may affect T.EN Operations across the Americas.
  • Contribute to protective intelligence and travel security initiatives.

About You
Wed love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently or recently completed a Bachelors degree in Security Studies, Crisis/Emergency Management, Intelligence Studies, Security Risk Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • Strong writing skills with experience in drafting policies and SOPs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks, work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • A self-starter with a "CAN DO" mindset, unafraid to ask questions and take initiative.
  • Familiarity with current security technologies and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Less than 2 years of experience or exposure to Corporate Level Emergency Management, Security Risk Management, Physical Security, Access Control, Surveillance Monitoring, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) or Research, Protective Intelligence, Travel and Global Security.
  • Ability to speak Spanish or French at a professional level (Preferred).
  • Previous experience in a security-related role or internship.
