What you'll do:
• Master's thesis on the topic "Energy Management System Tool for DC grids "
• Literature research on energy management system algorithms and control strategies
• Integration of RESs (e.g., solar, wind) and ESSs (e.g., batteries) into the DC grid
• Adaptive voltage sharing control for DC grids
• Develop algorithms for optimizing power and energy flow and minimizing losses within the DC grid
• Strategies for load balancing and peak shaving to enhance grid stability
• Use of simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) to test and validate the EMS under various scenarios
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a master's degree in electrical engineering
Skills:
• Understanding of the principles of power electronics and DC grids
• Previous experience with EMS tools is an advantage
• Experience with simulation platforms like MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD desired
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in English and/or German
• Individual support during the preparation of the Master's thesis
