About the role

• The Residential HVAC Technician plays a critical role in installing, maintaining, and repairing residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This position ensures optimal system performance, aligning with our commitment to energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and delivering top-notch service to our customers.

What you'll do

• Conduct regular maintenance checks, including cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical components.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues, such as malfunctions, temperature inconsistencies, and unusual noises.
• Perform repairs, including component replacement, leak fixes, and electrical or mechanical troubleshooting.
• Communicate professionally with clients to explain issues, present solutions, and offer maintenance recommendations.
• Assess systems to recommend upgrades or modifications that enhance energy efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety standards, including OSHA regulations and local building codes.
• Maintain detailed service records, documenting maintenance, repairs, and parts used.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in HVAC preferred.
• EPA Certification for refrigerant handling is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Residential Retrofit/changeout HVAC installation or a related field.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and energy efficiency standards.
• Familiarity with HVAC tools, equipment, and safety procedures.

The pay range for this role is:

24 - 40 USD per hour (HQ)
