JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior E&I Construction Engineer to join the Construction and Commissioning Engineering team as we partner with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry to provide Brownfield Engineering, Procurement and Construction services on a long-term, Engineering Service Contract. Based in Perth CBD, this is a permanent role and is available as a full-time / part-time (job share) basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will be:

• Delivery of FEED to Execution deliverables associated with Construction and Commissioning activities.
• Creating access workpacks.
• Input into construction feasibility studies for the project.
• Chairing constructability reviews.
• Providing inputs into schedule and estimates.
• Coordinating with personnel offshore.
• Input into design and engineering to ensure Construction and Commissioning activities are optimized and the works scopes can be completed safely and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS

You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia.

Ideally you will be suitably qualified engineer` from a recognized institution or tertiary qualification will also be considered along with 10 + years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector in Australia working within multidiscipline fields.

In addition, you will have:

• A demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Previous experience in a role of construction engineering and coordination working in a project multidisciplined team.
• Demonstrated supervisory and administration skills necessary to organize and manage large project scopes.
• Strong technical expertise in piping, vessels and rotating equipment installation, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning
• Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering programs.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure, while delivering within a challenging and complex environment.
• A "solutions mindset" embracing innovation and an agile approach to project delivery and team leadership.

What will set you apart is your proven experience in a similar role as a E&I Construction and Commissioning Engineer working within a Brownfield EPC or EPCM environment, preferably within the Australian Oil & Gas / LNG industry.
