Chief Operations Executive (CEO)
Location: Seattle, WA

We are seeking an experienced CEO to oversee and manage the daily operations of Eighth Generation, a tribally owned company. The CEO will drive operational excellence, optimize the supply chain, and ensure the efficient, high-quality delivery of our products. As a key leader, the CEO will work to advance Eighth Generation's mission to provide Native-designed alternatives to "Native-inspired" art while supporting and empowering Native artists.

Full Time, Exempt Position

  • Salary Range: $140,000-$200,000 annually, DOE
  • Annual bonus potential of up to 25%

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead long-term strategic planning that aligns with the mission of supporting Native artists and countering cultural appropriation.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy that aligns with market trends and customer preferences, balancing both digital and in-store experiences.
  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities, including new markets, store expansions, and e-commerce innovations.
  • Lead and manage daily business operations, ensuring alignment with financial goals and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee and optimize supply chain and inventory management, ensuring efficient product sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • Support growth initiatives, identifying and implementing strategies to scale the business while maintaining product quality.
  • Collaborate with the Snoqualmie Tribe to ensure that business practices reflect the company's mission and values.
  • Oversee financial performance across channels, setting and managing budgets to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Analyze financial reports, forecasting trends and adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize revenue streams from e-commerce and retail locations.
  • Ensure smooth operations by implementing processes that support cross-channel efficiencies, such as inventory management, logistics, and fulfillment.
  • Drive operational improvements that enhance the customer experience, integrating online and in-store service seamlessly (e.g., BOPIS - Buy Online, Pick Up In Store).
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives, investing in technologies that enhance the customer journey, such as personalized online shopping experiences and data analytics.
  • Oversee marketing and branding strategies to maintain cohesive messaging and a strong brand presence across channels.
  • Ensure that e-commerce platforms are secure, scalable, and provide a seamless, user-friendly experience.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration between e-commerce and retail teams to align on goals and initiatives.
  • Develop talent strategies that support employee engagement, retention, and development across all levels of the organization.
  • Oversee supply chain logistics to maintain inventory accuracy, optimize stock levels, and minimize disruptions.
  • Work with suppliers and partners to ensure timely product availability for both online and in-store channels.
  • Leverage data analytics to track customer behavior, sales performance, and operational efficiencies.
  • Use insights from data to inform strategic decisions, adjust marketing efforts, and personalize customer outreach.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with e-commerce security, supply chain vulnerabilities, and retail regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations across all business operations.
  • Promote and integrate sustainable practices within both online and physical stores, including eco-friendly packaging, waste reduction, and energy-efficient operations.
  • Champion CSR initiatives to align with brand values and enhance community impact, fostering customer loyalty and brand reputation.

Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in operations management, with a background in retail or consumer products.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and experience scaling operations in a fast-growing business.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performance teams and driving revenue growth in a mission-focused environment.
