One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, has tasked us with finding a Contract Cost Analyst to join their team in Lloydminster for a 12-month contract, working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Planning and Scheduling: Developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely and on-budget completion.
  • Cost Management: Monitoring and controlling project costs in alignment with budget constraints.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyzing cost data to identify trends, variances, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Cost Reconciliation: Reconciling project costs with budgeted amounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • SAP MOC Management: Utilizing SAP MOC to document and approve changes in project scope.
  • Reporting: Preparing and presenting detailed cost reports to management, highlighting insights and recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders for accurate cost tracking and reporting.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • 5-7 years of experience in cost management, cost analysis, and cost reconciliation.
  • Proven experience in project close-out and contractor Quality Assurance verification.
  • Proficiency in SAP, particularly SAP MOC.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.
