Airswift is seeking a IT Project Manager to work with one of our major clients in the Oil & Gas industry on a hybrid schedule located in Calgary, AB.

Key Responsibilities:
- Typical PM Duties: Budget, scope, scheduling, and logistics.
- Team Management: Define and manage clear roles & responsibilities within the project team. Lead and motivate team members creating a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and facilitate meetings with internal and external partners, including software implementors.
- Vendor Management: Partner with the software implementor to manage scheduling, budgeting and scope. Managing vendor deliverables, change, quality and cost is a crucial part of the role. The successful candidate must be able to influence and hold vendors accountable.
- Stakeholder Management: Critical for mapping and engaging stakeholders effectively.
- OCM Focus: Managing deployment logistics, ensuring comprehensive stakeholder engagement, and executing readiness assessments and change management.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years as a Project Manager. Must have experience managing large, complex software implementation projects with many stakeholders.
- Industry Experience: Oil and Gas experience is beneficial but not mandatory; a strong PM can transfer skills across industries.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with MS Project and JIRA.
- Waterfall methodology experience is important, with knowledge of Agile/Scrum Master methodologies as a plus.
- Certifications: PMP certification is an asset, but not required
- Leadership : Previous experience managing staff and contractors required.
- Vendor Management & OCM: Key competencies include managing vendor quality, changes, and billing, and implementing OCM strategies that emphasize stakeholder feedback and engagement.
Desired Attributes:
- Risk Management: Proactive approach to risk management and vendor engagement.
- Communication Skills: Strong facilitation skills for meetings and stakeholder engagements.
- BA Background: A background in Business Analysis (BA) can be advantageous.
- Success Indicators: Ability to manage vendors effectively, build a collaborative and high performing project team, and drive change management and system adoption through stakeholder involvement.
