Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Corporate Tax Manager with a strong business partner and implementation orientation to strengthen the Swiss tax team, which is responsible for the tax management of the Swiss operational and headquarters companies (approx. 8) of the ABB Group. The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Ensuring that the business stakeholders are familiar with and comply with ABB tax governance (core policy, core procedures) and controls framework. • Delivering tax training to key internal stakeholders in your country (e.g. Business controllers/FAO/Tax Operations, other functions). • Reviewing foreign tax implications (direct, indirect, and individual taxes) of cross-border projects contracted by ABB Swiss OpCo. Liaise with the tender responsible for minimizing tax costs and compliance burden. • Analyzing potential tax implications and opportunities for transactions and business projects (e.g. M&A, legal entity rationalization, internal reorganization, restructuring, Capex, etc.) and supporting with local implementation as required. • Monitoring legislative changes and driving tax planning initiatives and proactively managing exposure. • Avoiding double taxation on intra-group dividends, interests, and licenses as well as ensuring the integrity of data used for direct tax computation, filing tax returns, and approving payments. • Reviewing tax returns and documents prepared by other members of the Swiss tax team (4-eyes principle) and quarterly signing off US GAAP tax reporting and documentation (including internal controls and forecasting). • Managing tax audits and disputes with the support of tax operations/relevant practice teams/business and external advisers as required. • Provide tax support for international employee participation plans.

Qualifications for the role
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law or Taxes and . Swiss certified tax expert. Min. 5 years of experience in a multinational environment.
- Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of local and international taxation, incl. major cross-border projects.
- Process thinking, ability to deal with ambiguity and use structured approach to problem solving. Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solution-oriented and practical, with the ability to implement measures effectively.
- Team player with strong communication skills, skilled in stakeholder management at all hierarchical levels.
- Fluent in English and German.
