The Production Associate (Floater C-Shift) will operate all packaging equipment to manufacture high quality finished lubricant products in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner. Some of the processes involved use hazardous and volatile materials under high temperature and pressure. Typical working conditions include outside weather and elements, blowing air, heat, noise, vibration and occasionally working from heights and confined spaces. Operators must follow safe work practices including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In addition, Operators perform various duties required to keep their assigned processing unit/area operating safely and at specified production/run rates.

Responsibilities May Include:
  • Demonstrate competency to accurately and safely operate all production equipment.
  • Able to qualify in multiple positions within the PA classification across all production lines
  • Able and willing to work off-shift when operations require
  • Manufacture product according to scheduling requirements and customer needs.
  • Read, understand, and follow documentation necessary to assemble various types of packaged products.
  • Operate, adjust, and monitor production process to achieve optimum efficiency.
  • Adapting to changes in schedule due to customer needs, breakdowns and business needs.
  • Accurately account for all finished product produced and raw materials consumed.
  • Accurately and safely operating all production equipment.
  • Filing a variety of containers from 32 oz. to 330-gallon containers
  • Physically and visually inspecting raw materials, such as containers, and alerting personnel regarding defects.
  • Working independently without constant supervision.
  • Perform all quality checks to ensure finished product is being manufactured as specified
  • Take ownership of all production activities and communicate variances and or concerns to management and scheduling
  • Assure compliance with all Company policies and Heath Safety Environmental Quality (HSEQ) procedures and training requirements.
  • Prioritize and organize required job activities and complete on a timely basis.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping to ascertain a safe and environmentally sound work area.
  • Be physically able to perform assigned tasks.
  • Be a team player focusing on contributing to the organization and communicating with others.
  • Production Associates are required to work the below shift schedules on an as needed basis. Typically, new employees will work A shift during the training period, and then be assigned A, B, or C shift as needed. Shift change notifications typically occur 7 days prior to the change however notice may be less than 7 days depending on the business needs.
    • A shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday
    • B Shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Monday - Friday
    • C Shift 11:00 pm - 7:30 am Sunday night - Thursday night

Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Beginner level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be willing and able, with or without a reasonable accommodation, to perform all duties, including:
    • To lift, raise, and transport up to 50 pounds
    • To climbing ladders up to 50 feet
    • To bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling are required to perform tasks
    • To work overtime and/or off-shift as business needs
    • To work at various levels above ground
    • To work in confined space
    • To drive a forklift
    • To wear personal protective equipment (such as hard hat, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 or more years of experience in manufacturing
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card prior to or during employment. Note: information regarding TWIC qualification standards may be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic

*This is a union represented position. The starting hourly rate for this position is $27.69. Future pay increases will be based on the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
