We are currently seeking a (New Grad) Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Civil/Structural Team based in Claremont, CA.

About the Job

The Structural Engineer trainee will perform structural analysis and design of petrochemical steel and reinforced concrete structures. You will receive supervision and guidance from an experienced Structural Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Structural analysis and design, under the direction of a Lead Engineer.

• Preparation of structural analysis models using STAAD, RISA, etc.

• Production of structural calculations.

• Preparation of 3D design models using Tekla, Smart 3D, etc.

• Coordination with the modeling/drafting team.

• Review of design drawings.

• Checking of calculations performed by others.

About You

Wed love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

• Minimum Qualifications:

• You have achieved your Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering

• You have:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills using the English language.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Ability and motivation to work with moderate supervision to produce on-time results.
  • Interest to work and contribute within a multi-disciplinary team structure toward a common goal.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for acquiring knowledge and learning new skills.

• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous industry experience is a plus (less than 2 years).
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software.
  • Basic knowledge of national codes, standards and specification.

Salary Range: $75K - $85K
