We are currently seeking a (New Grad) Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Team based in Claremont, CA.
About the Job
Our Electrical Engineer 1 is an entry level position where you will be assigned to a project task force team working primarily on technical and economic feasibility studies and process design packages of detailed engineering activities. You will receive supervision and guidance from an experienced Electrical Engineering Supervisor which will afford you an opportunity for substantive discussions and understanding of technical issues, as well as functional issues such as engineering workflow and the tasks taken on by each engineering discipline. The tasks assigned will draw heavily upon your understanding of engineering fundamentals and their application to designing large scale commercial chemical plants.
Our Electrical Engineer 1 will also have the opportunity for field assignments as part of a plant commissioning, startup, and test run team which provides an excellent means for obtaining practical experience. Work sharing opportunities in other Technip Energies offices are also possible.
Daily our Electrical Engineer 1:
• Produces all electrical engineering deliverables on projects, including electrical load summary, single lines; calculations, electrical equipment specifications, datasheets, and requisitions
• Reviews vendor drawings, checks grounding, lighting, cable tray drawings, cable schedules, schematics & wiring diagrams, and installation details
• Coordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines

About You

- Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: You will have recently received your Bachelors of Science (or higher) in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Power Systems Engineering with a 3.0+ GPA
- Courses: Electrical Circuits, Electric Machinery and Drives, Electromagnetics, Power System Studies, Computer Modeling of Power Systems, Power System Protection & Relays, Power Electronics
- Good analytical, mathematical, database, spreadsheet, and computer skills
- Less than 2 years of experience
- Previous Engineering Internship is a plus
