The Business Unit President is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across all functions of the business unit, including sales, operations, customer service, marketing, communications, pricing, product management, purchasing, fulfillment, warranty, and working capital management.
This role ensures the successful execution of company goals and departmental initiatives, striving to exceed customer satisfaction through adherence to company policies. As a key member of the U.S. executive leadership team, the Business Unit President communicates company progress, performance, and status.

Margin Growth: Execute strategies to grow margins in assigned markets while continuing to drive sales.
Working Capital
Resource Oversight: Manage Business Unit resources to achieve annual budget targets and maintain working capital.
Procurement Efficiency: Partner with the VP of Procurement to ensure efficient purchasing processes and maintain target inventory levels.
Executive
Strategic Planning: Participate in corporate strategic planning and report major Business Unit activities to the Master Executive Leadership team.
Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to monthly business reviews, cadence meetings, and other executive planning sessions.
Financial
Financial Performance: Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and overall business objectives.
Operational Activities
Operational Assessment: Conduct branch visits to evaluate operational effectiveness and adherence to process standards.
Guidance and Recognition: Provide direction to Business Unit Leaders on addressing gaps and recognizing high achievement.
Process Improvement: Oversee changes and enhancements to operational processes to implement new or improved business practices.
Talent Development: Meet regularly with BU Leaders to provide feedback, set goals, and plan for effective succession planning.
Training Accountability: Ensure operational leadership teams are accountable for education and training programs, including new training, on-time training, and re-training as needed.
Operational Analysis: Prioritize and manage changes to outdated or under-utilized operational processes.
What You Bring to Our Team:
• 10-15 years' experience with operations, sales, business, supply chain, and related functions.
• High School diploma or its GED equivalent and a bachelor's degree in business or its equivalent relatable work experience.
• High degree of personal ethics, customer service, and commitment to safety.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications as needed to satisfactorily perform work assignments - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint as well as have the ability to learn company enterprise systems as needed - Solar Eclipse, etc.
• Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
• Use computers, photocopiers, fax machines, scanners, and phone systems related to the needs of the job.
• Must be organized, able to prioritize, set and keep deadlines, change direction quickly, and adapt to various work environments easily.
• Must be able to work independently and at times discreetly, use sound judgment, and make thoughtful decisions in a timely manner.
• Must be able to communicate well interpersonally, written, and in group settings as well as follow verbal and written instructions.
