About the Role: As a Commercial HVAC Install Technician, you will be responsible for installing and retrofitting HVAC systems in commercial buildings. Your expertise in HVAC installation, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship will ensure the efficient and effective operation of commercial HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, retrofit, and upgrade commercial HVAC systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to plan and execute HVAC installation projects.
  • Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand the scope of work and required materials.
  • Perform site surveys to assess existing HVAC systems and determine the best installation approach.
  • Install ductwork, ventilation systems, air conditioning units, heating systems, and associated components following proper installation procedures and guidelines.
  • Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal or ductboard to fabricate ductwork sections as needed.
  • Install and connect electrical wiring and controls for HVAC systems, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  • Test and balance HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and other tradespeople as necessary to coordinate work and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues during installation, ensuring all components are functioning properly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the installation process.
  • Complete installation-related documentation, including work orders, equipment records, and warranty information.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client questions or concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the installation process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in commercial HVAC installation.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical HVAC program is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Commercial HVAC Install Technician, with a strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and installation practices.
  • Knowledge of HVAC system components, including air handlers, chillers, rooftop units, ductwork, controls, and associated equipment.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in HVAC installation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
