This position reports to

Senior Vice President, Sales

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sale of products/systems/services within a designated segment, in line with the industry segment strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities within the assigned segment. The work model for the role is hybrid (can be based remotely as well). This role is contributing to the Motion System Drive division in Motion. You will be mainly accountable for: • Business development and sales execution - define the landscape of opportunities in the US, identify application-rich users, define the tactical requirements, understand the competitive landscape, promote, propose and close business throughout the US and ultimately achieve or exceed annual sales plan. • Player mapping, account planning, trip and sales (monthly) reporting • Penetrate preidentified/targeted industries at the user level within the US • Get ABB specified, influence projects and pursue opportunities until close Our team dynamics You will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive within Motion.

Qualifications for the role

  • Four-year university degree emphasis in electrical engineering preferred and 10 years of experience, or associate's degree and 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant industrial heating power control applications experience preferred.
  • Prior successful performance in a similar industrial heating sales role required.
  • Prior sales experience with thyristor controller products and applications preferred.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
