What are you going to do

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll manage multiple macadamia orchards, guiding teams to deliver exceptional results. You'll be responsible for everything from day-to-day operations and crop production to long-term planning and development. • Macadamia Operations: Oversee orchard activities, including planting, pest control, harvest, and regeneration programs, with a focus on tree health and yield optimisation.
• Leadership & Development: Lead and train a team of supervisors and workers to ensure safety, precision, and quality in all tasks.
• Strategic Oversight: Contribute to operational planning, budget setting, and forecasting to support business objectives.
• Technology & Reporting: Utilise farm management software to maintain records, analyse data, and provide meaningful insights.
• Contractor Management: Engage, supervise, and monitor contractors to ensure high standards of work.
• Safety Focus: Foster a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture.

Essential skills and knowledge

• Technical or tertiary qualifications in horticulture, agriculture, or related fields (highly regarded).
• Minimum 5 years in agricultural or horticultural operations, or a Farm Manager ready to take the next step.
• Understanding of macadamia orchard requirements or similar crop operations.
• Current driver's license; a Chemical Users Certificate is preferred.
