We are seeking a highly skilled Measurement Technician III to join our team for a 1-year contract in Port Fourchon, Louisiana. This is a great opportunity to work in the dynamic and fast-paced oil and gas industry, with the potential for extension.

Role Overview
  • Perform accurate and reliable measurement of physical quantities for gas processing on offshore platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for LACT meter proving, sales gas meter calibration, and oil & gas sampling for custody transfer.
  • Maintain knowledge of single-phase metering by positive displacement, helical turbine, orifice, and v-cone for oil and natural gas systems.
  • Troubleshoot and test equipment to ensure proper operation and identify any issues.
  • Utilize Windows-based programs such as OMNICOM, PCCU32, and Mon 2000 for data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and professionals to ensure accurate and consistent measurements.
  • Work onsite at offshore locations, around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience or training in oil and gas allocation and custody transfer measurement systems.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for LACT meter proving, sales gas meter calibration, and oil & gas sampling for custody transfer.
  • Familiarity with single-phase metering by positive displacement, helical turbine, orifice, and v-cone for oil and natural gas systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and equipment testing procedures.
  • Experience using Windows-based programs such as OMNICOM, PCCU32, and Mon 2000.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel and work on offshore locations in varying environmental conditions.

Education & Experience
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Certification in Shell Pipeline or relevant industry certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in oil and gas allocation and custody transfer measurement systems.
