This position reports to
R&D Department Lead
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated areas. Each day, you will focus on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the entire Service product portfolio. You will also showcase your expertise by building long-term customer relationships and ensuring immediate response to specific customer needs and issues. You will be mainly accountable for: • Analyze ABB sensor technology and build know how of current sensor design and manufacture. • Benchmark sensors in the market to understand the Pros and Cons • Generate ideas for next generation sensors and implement them into the sensor design, testing and production setup. • Improve ABB current sensors for quality and reliability • Work with electronic engineer and algorithm engineer for optimizing the sensor, understanding the sensor behavior in different application (high temperature, high pressure, high humidity, etc...) • Design of tests and test setups to verify the sensor design in Lab before release • Investigate the material property and select best fit material for ABB sensor.

Qualifications for the role
- Sensor research and hands-on experience
- Education: Ph.D
- Major: Physics Engineering, Sensor technology or Electronic System
- Fluent oral and written English
- Strong physics background in sensor technology
- Good experimental skills on measurement setup
- Material (glue, rubber etc) application knowledge is required
- Familiar with electromagnetic field / flow simulation tools ANSYS, COMSOL etc. for both modelling and simulation will be a plus.
- Strong Piezo knowledge will be a great plus.
