Blade Materials & Sustainability is a global team within the Blades Segment of Vestas' R&D organization. We are responsible for the entire value chain of blade materials, from the introduction of new materials to the establishment of a resilient supply chain.

Responsabilities
  • Define material specifications to meet component design and process requirements.
  • Manage the introduction of new materials to enhance blade performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Qualify blade materials through laboratory characterization and process-driven tests in a blade production environment.
  • Represent Blades R&D in global cross-functional teams.
  • Implement engineering changes on blade materials according to the Vestas ECM process.
  • Maintain the Vestas Blades Materials Database to ensure high-quality material data.
  • Deliver Blade Materials Workpackages for Blades Technology and New Product Introduction projects.


Qualifications
  • Proficient in composite materials and their processing.
  • Degree in Engineering or Material Science (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng).
  • Experience in engineering composite materials.
  • Familiarity with APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Knowledge of FMEA tools.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification (beneficial).
  • Capable of coordinating teams.
  • Engagement and team collaboration skills within project delivery.


Competencies
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork.
  • Experience working in a Scrum environment.
  • Resilient and capable of working under ambiguous circumstances.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
