Deciding to sell and service our own medical gas equipment nationwide, we created Pattons Medical in 2008. Our Medical and Lab Gas Consultants are tasked with outside sales duties and provide current and potential clients with the Pattons Medical products and services for their specific medical and lab project needs. Call points are Hospital Director of Facilities, MEP Engineering firms and Mechanical/Plumbing Contractors.

Call points are Hospital Director of Facilities, MEP Engineering firms and Mechanical/Plumbing Contractors.
As a Medical and Lab Gas Consultant for Pattons Medical, you will have four-primary areas of responsibility:
- Revenue and lead generation:
- Travel to current and prospective customer sites within the designated sales territory to demonstrate and educate customers on Pattons Medical's products and services, conduct needs assessments, and identify product application solutions.
- Revenue and lead generation in the Midwestern United States.
- Increase Pattons Medical's visibility with the Medical and Lab Gas industry by attending trade shows hosted by local and national industry associations (ASPE, Hospital Engineer associations, etc.) and presenting to design engineering firms at Lunch & Learn and other educational/consulting events.
- Use our Construct Connect territory lead platform and other networking/lead generation activities and tools.
- Subject Matter Expertise:
- Become the subject matter expert on Medical and Lab Air and Vacuum systems, Medical and Lab Gas Manifolds, Piping systems and Alarm systems per NFPA 99-20xx Code.
- Recommend products and services to contractors, engineers and facilities based on their designs and project needs.
- Fully understand, promote and properly spec Pattons Medical's line of products and services.
- Quoting:
- Work with prospective and current partners to convert leads to opportunities.
- Work with an assigned Pattons Medical Project Manager to review engineering designs and provide detailed quotes that comply with NFPA 99-20xx Code and the customer's application, pricing and delivery requirements.
- Negotiate prices and terms of equipment sales with Mechanical/Plumbing contractor awarded project.
- CRM
- Regularly update the Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM) with new leads and manage existing leads.
- Monitor existing opportunities in conjunction with the project manager and the customer.
- Record and analyze opportunities that are won, lost, disqualified and open.
About You
The Systems Specialist opportunity may be a match for you if you have the following qualifications:
- Ability to learn and communicate technical information.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical or another relevant field, minimum 3-5 years' sales experience in a relevant industry (i.e., engineered products, application engineering, electrical, mechanical, energy), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of sales, business development, and customer service best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Proven ability to achieve sales goals.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as with service and sales partners.
- Ability to travel and stay overnight in the territory
