Context & Environment

  • This position focuses on the lead generation of commercial & Industrial solar businesses in the Thailand for TotalEnergies Renewables D.G.
  • The role manages and involves developing, constructing, financing, and operating solar systems on the premises of multi-national corporations and national leaders.
  • Thailand is a highly challenging environment due to solar being a nascent industry especially in B2B based DG segment.
  • In addition, government regulations for companies wishing to adopt solar is problematic and sometimes challenging to navigate.
  • Researching, identifying, and selecting potential customer selection is a key and a significant and fundamental part of the job.
  • Understanding the Philippine business climate and internal workings is critical.
  • Knowledge of the construction sections is also required to maintain and adhere to TotalEnergies stringent HSE standards.

Activities

  • Responsible for supporting the Regional Sales Director in developing pipeline and closing projects by selling power contracts to Commercial & Industrial customers in the Thailand.
  • Supporting the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) business, including but not limited to marketing, business development, sales and customer service.
  • Help develop accurate market targeting, including identifying customer and market opportunities and establishing a balance of long-term pipeline and short-term revenue.
  • Develop an effective channel management plan to ensure TotalEnergies is recommended and introduced to strategic opportunities.
  • Identify and target strategic clients and projects, establish long-term & trustful relationships with customers.
  • Guide and participate with the project team to implement the customer and project plans effectively.
  • Be flexible and proactive to deal with complex situations and achieving sales targets.
  • Understanding the business ensures its financial health and striking a balance between sales, operating expenses, and profits.
  • Support marketing plans to grow TotalEnergies brand influence. Represent TotalEnergies in Public Relations communications, including seminars, conferences and business associations.

Accountabilities
  • Develop accurate market targeting, including identifying customers and market opportunities, establishing a network of agents and partners.
  • Identify and target strategic clients and projects; establish a balance of long-term pipeline and short-term revenue.
  • Participate in the technical team to effectively implement the customer and project plans.
  • As the in-country focus, maintain all contractors, clients, and government relationships are kept professional.
  • Ensure the company's financial health and balance sales, technical and operating expenses, and profits.
  • The performance will be assessed by pipeline generation; projects closed, project profitability, revenue, customer relationship enhancement, brand influence, enhanced competitiveness and team building.

Candidate Profile

Profile of Candidate:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in sales/business development roles, preferably with at least 2 years in solar/energy industry
  • Highly independent, proactive and self-motivated under a variety of challenging circumstances
  • Good customer relationship management with knowledge of using CRM tools and sales processes
  • Experienced in contract negotiations and familiarity with technical, commercial, legal & compliance terms
  • Ability to deal with a range of organizations from privately owned smaller enterprise to large multi-national corporates.
  • Excellent communication skills and coupled with a dynamic approach to sales
  • English is the working language but being multilingual will be an added advantage
