Your role and responsibilities

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Controlling Analyst to provide financial expertise to our organization. The professional will be responsible for compiling and analyzing relevant metrics, identifying trends and issues, communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to improve the financial performance of a specific business. Key Responsibilities: Analyze business performance against budget and forecasts, proposing improvement actions. Perform benchmarking of key performance indicators with competitors in the Motion sector and similar businesses within ABB. Collaborate with other finance professionals to understand and analyze the drivers of the organization's financial performance and identify trends. Prepare financial modeling for various hypotheses and the overall impact on the business unit. Support the preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the relevant organization. Validate the accuracy of financial data and business information through reconciliations and review of exceptions. Provide information to management by gathering and summarizing data, preparing reports, and presenting findings, analyses, and recommendations. Optimize performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements. Ensure that processes and controls within the area of responsibility are designed and implemented in line with internal policies and regulations. Maintain proper audit trail and documentation for future tax/internal/external audits and reviews.

Qualifications for the role

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
• Solid experience in controlling is essential.
• Technical knowledge of SAP is required.
• Knowledge of PowerBI and other digital tools is a plus.
• Advanced or Fluent English is necessary for reading, writing, and conversation.
• Spanish is desirable.
