This job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. floor to knuckle and 50 lbs. knuckle to shoulder and requires frequent bending, standing, and walking.

Job Duties:
- Performs work on the designing, installation, maintenance, and operation of specialized systems at UTMB.
- Coordinated commissioning of specialized systems on new construction or renovation projects.
- Maintains proper system operating parameters to maintain the integrity of specialized systems.
- Confers with users in order to gain an understanding of their needs and/or provides technical advice.
- Performs work from written or verbal instructions, specifications, blueprints, or wiring diagrams.
- Uses troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques to identify system problems.
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance on specialized equipment and systems.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
- Standard office environment.
- Occasional exposure to the construction environment.
- Usual working conditions are found in mechanical rooms, electrical, and electronic working conditions.
- Exposure to adverse weather conditions, electrical hazards, or temperature extremes.
- Proper safety and precaution must be closely observed when operating and repairing specialized equipment and systems.
- Climb ladders and stairways and work on building rooftops of high elevation.
- Work in confined spaces such as ceilings, under-floor crawlspaces, and manholes.
- May be required to work extended or rotating shifts.
