A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Workshop Technician at Siemens Energy Aberdeen, you'll play a key role in ensuring the repair, maintenance, and restoration of customers' rotating machinery and equipment. Your day will involve hands-on work in the Aberdeen Service Centre, solving mechanical challenges, diagnosing issues, and delivering high-quality repairs that meet OEM standards. You'll collaborate with a skilled team to ensure machinery operates at peak performance, all while prioritizing safety and quality.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Inspect, disassemble, repair, and reassemble precision-engineered rotating equipment following OEM quality standards.
• Identify and resolve anomalies or non-conformances during equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot rotating equipment, resolve root causes of issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Prepare detailed inspection and repair reports, including findings, recommendations, and required parts for rebuilds.
• Fit new, repaired, or accepted parts to complete equipment rebuilds to a high standard.
• Work collaboratively with your team to support field installations, maintenance, and repairs on customers' rotating products.
• Follow strict safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
• Demonstrate flexibility to address unexpected mechanical problems outside the original scope of work.

• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in assembly and rebuild scenarios.
• Experience addressing unforeseen mechanical issues and determining effective resolutions.
• Ability to work independently, taking initiative when guidance isn't immediately available.
• Skilled in both written and verbal communication across all organizational levels.
• A team-oriented attitude with the capability to work collaboratively or independently as required.
