Essential skills and knowledge
- Demonstrates visible safety leadership and care for people.
- Act as the Company focal point for HVAC Systems installation scope including review and/or approval of related technical and non-technical documents submitted by Contractor.
- Ensures all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company and contractually defined policies, regulations, and standards.
- Apply contractual awareness protecting the Company position when engaging with Contractors on schedule, technical and cost issues.
- Establish and maintain relationships, communications with contractor and company functional teams (safety, quality, engineering, business).
- Coordination of all CPY support functions (safety, Quality) ensuring safe and efficient delivery in line with the construction schedule
- Ensuring contractors ongoing competency processes and procedures are compliant to Company requirements and Qatar government regulations.
- Review Contractors Mechanical safety critical position CVs and interview as required providing technical input to approval process
- Review and recommend improvements to ways of working, procedures and plans ensuring effective and smooth project execution.
- Participate in constructability and construction readiness reviews identifying improvement opportunities with contractor team.
- Understand the Advanced Work Pack process, confirming alignment with path of construction review progress identifying constraints and mitigations.
- Monitor and provide guidance to Contractor to ensure key Mechanical deliverables (HVAC Systems), progress/milestones are achieved.
- Attend activity planning and risk assessment meetings, assist contractor in identifying schedule mitigations and improvement.
- Undertakes daily walk-through of construction areas, confirming safety standards are maintained,
- Undertakes daily walk-through of construction areas, confirming efficiency of the work and compliance with the planned daily activities and overall construction schedule.
- Review, approve and audit as required Contractor plans, procedures, method statement PTW and task instructions.
- Attends onsite safety meetings and toolbox talks to ensure there is a clear understanding of the activities that are to be performed.
- Review of contractors daily weekly and monthly reports analyzing performance and verifying progress and status.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor of Engineering in relevant discipline and/or recognized industry trade qualifications e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds, Valid certifications issued by Internationally Recognized bodies.
- More than (10) years proven experience within Client organization.
- Minimum of 15 years field supervisory experience with broad knowledge of Engineering, construction execution
- Requires broad experience with HVAC Systems installation and familiarity with relevant industry codes.
- Demonstrated experience installing HVAC Systems including equipment preservation, equipment installation, duct fabrication, installation and leak testing, refrigerant piping/tubing installation, welding and testing, filling refrigerant, installation of various dampers and testing, installation of instruments, balancing, etc.
- Demonstrate clear understanding and experience in the system completion of HVAC systems and completion requirements.
- Demonstrate understanding and experience in the Control panel installation and connection to various parts of HVAC, interface with F&G systems, risks and interfaces with other disciplines working in the same area.
- Demonstrate extensive experience of HVAC systems pre-commissioning methods.
- Demonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, specific to onshore LNG facilities and utility systems.
- Ability to read and translate approved for construction drawings.
- Ability to use (Read) Navis works (3D model)
- Ability to prepare, approve and /or verify HVAC Systems documents and plans.
- Ability to work within document control systems reviewing, consolidating, and approving technical and project documents.
- IT literacy: Word, Excel, PDF, skills to support reporting, reviewing and communication requirements.
- Ability to read and translate primavera schedules.
- Ability to work within advanced work packing and completions systems
