Activities

In this challenging role, you will lead a team of several Large Project Leaders and manage the implementation of large projects (CAPEX > 5M$) for our refinery site. To achieve the defined project goals, you will set up the project organization, consisting of own and contracted personnel, in accordance with the upcoming project tasks. You will develop HSE, quality and risk management plans as well as project control procedures and thus ensure that the project team and the contracted partners adhere to TotalEnergies' (TE) safety culture. You will also ensure that TE project governance is adhered to throughout the entire project duration.

You will ensure that all documents required for the approval of the various project phases are prepared and presented by the respective project managers for presentation in the regular steering committees. You will look for synergies between the individual projects, coordinate the tendering process in the respective project phases with the support of the project managers, taking existing framework agreements into account, and manage the resulting contracts. With these activities, you ensure that the objectives regarding safety, cost, schedule and quality are met.

You report to the Large Projects Manager.

Candidate Profile

You have a university degree in mechanical engineering, plant engineering or a related field, can look back on at least 10 years of successful work in industrial project management and plant engineering and have already gained experience in leading teams, preferably in the field of refineries or large chemical plants.

You have a high level of safety understanding, communicate and negotiate in a targeted manner, enjoy working independently and have strong organizational skills. You are fluent in written and spoken German and English (preferably also French).
