The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Offshore Structural Designer (SP3D) with a proven track record in creating detailed 3D structural models and designs for offshore projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards while collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions for a high-profile client.

The key objectives for this role are:

• Execute design and drafting activities for various project phases such as concept, front-end engineering development, technical studies, and detailed design
• Utilize 3D software like SP3D, PDS, and PDMS to create accurate and detailed structural models
• Ensure the technical quality of work by adhering to industry standards, project specifications, and legislative requirements
• Achieve and maintain safety standards as defined in personal performance contracts

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• 3D Software skills like SP3D, PDS / PDMS, is mandatory
• Execute design and draughting activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study and Detailed Design)
• Prepare sketches, Civil & Structural drawings, and designs from agreed work scopes with minimum input from engineering personnel
• Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract
• Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance
• Carry out site surveys
• Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule
• Maintain required technical quality of work
• Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to discipline work scope
• Maintain filing system
• Encourage and provide lateral learning within project
• Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required
• Assist Lead / Senior Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties

Expected:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum of 10+ years of experience
• Sound knowledge of manual and CAD draughting techniques
• Software skills like AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION, etc is mandatory
• 3D Software skills like SP3D, PDS / PDMS, is mandatory
• Having CIVIL 3D Software experience would be an added advantage
• Must worked on the Concrete structures, Steel structures, U / G structures & architectural drawings for Low rise buildings are mandatory
• Must worked on Grading drawings, Civil Site Layouts, U / G facilities are mandatory
• Aware of and able to use codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation as applicable to draughting function
• Aware of and able to use COMPANY and CLIENT standards
• Able to create base design drawings / models from agreed work scope with minimal guidance
• Computer literate (database / spreadsheets)
• Ability to accept delegated responsibility for designated tasks
• Experience in acting as a focal point / Self checking / checking of others work
