SR. ECONOMIC ANALYST
Overview
Leading and working on the analytical, planning and performance assessment tasks as required in the Marketing directorate. The role also involves some aspects of budget controls, market forecast, strategic planning, corporate governance. The tasks primarily focus on the markets for petroleum, petrochemical and polymer products. The Sr Economic Analyst will report directly to the Head, Planning & Performance and will support the roles and remit of the Planning & Performance team.
Experience
• Working experience (preferably at least min. 10 years) in a technical, or commercial role within the oil and gas, petroleum, oil refining, or petrochemicals industries.
• Preferably having an understanding of the market trends, key participants, long-term growth drivers and challenges of the above stated industries.
• Demonstrated abilities in economic analyses, financial assessments, project investment analyses.
• Leadership experience in leading or managing small work teams.
• Ability to work independently, and a strong sense of ownership for delivering high-quality reports, presentations and documents.
• Effective communication and presentation skills to management and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
A degree in engineering (preferably Chemical engineering), or economics, or computational science.
