OIL SPILL RESPONSE SUPERVISOR
Overview
Manage the daily activities of an allocated response base. Identify and assess the hazards and risks of potential incidents in their operational area. Command emergency response teams as well as controlling and working along with local authorities, contractors, international organisations and volunteers during larger operations.
Conduct annual program and reviews of staff and contractors' training and exercises, to ensure response readiness. Lead, guide, and mentor Response Base staff in all aspects of Oil & HNS pollution control. Act as technical advisor to QatarEnergy, JV's and State entities and any other relevant part as required.
Experience
• Good written and spoken English.
• Excellent communication skills and high leadership qualities.
• Good management skills are essential for this position.
• At least 7 years Oil pollution response experience for both onshore and offshore.
Qualifications
• BSc or HND in Mechanical, Environmental or Marine - related disciplines.
• Certified to IMO level - Management of Oil Spill Incidents.
• Trained in NEBOSH, IOSH or other internationally recognised safety standards.
