Title: Safety Lead

Job Purpose:
Plan, direct, co-ordinate and supervise all safety activities to ensure that applicable client safety standards are, achieved and maintained at Onshore Projects.
Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Lead to oversee and direct all safety activities across Onshore Projects. As part of Operations Expansion & Start-Up Department, you will ensure the highest safety standards are met and maintained, promoting a culture of safety across clients Onshore operations. You will play a key role in guiding safety procedures, audits, incident prevention, and fostering continuous safety improvements.

Title: Safety Lead

Working Schedule:
- Work hours per day: 8 - 10 hrs/day
- Workdays per Week: 5 days/week - Sunday to Thursday.
Job Purpose:
Plan, direct, co-ordinate and supervise all safety activities to ensure that applicable client safety standards are, achieved and maintained at Onshore Projects.
Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Lead to oversee and direct all safety activities across Onshore Projects. As part of Operations Expansion & Start-Up Department, you will ensure the highest safety standards are met and maintained, promoting a culture of safety across clients Onshore operations. You will play a key role in guiding safety procedures, audits, incident prevention, and fostering continuous safety improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and supervise safety activities across various project phases (FEED, EPC, Commissioning, Start-up) to ensure safety standards are achieved and maintained.
- Risk Management: Implement techniques for effective risk and hazard identification, ensuring the health and safety of all personnel.
- Audits & Inspections: Lead regular audits and inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory safety standards and best practices.
- Training & Development: Align safety training programs with department needs, ensuring that all Safety Officers are adequately trained and up-to-date.
- Safety Procedures & Budget Management: Develop and implement safety procedures, while managing the safety section budget, ensuring expenditures are tracked and justified.
- Compliance & Communication: Ensure adherence to state and international safety regulations, while maintaining effective communication within departments and with external stakeholders.
- Incident Prevention & Reporting: Oversee incident prevention strategies and the investigation of safety concerns, ensuring corrective actions are implemented efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Safety Discipline.
Experience:
- 8 years of experience in safety management within the petrochemical or oil and gas industry, with 5 years at a supervisory level.
- Strong organizational, supervisory, and communication skills.
- Ability to make decisive decisions with a strong management approach.
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to produce technical reports and procedures.
- Expertise in MS Word, Excel, Visio, and safety-related software tools.
