We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Superintendent Scaffolding onresidential status to be based at site (Ras Laffan Industrial City). This role has key responsibilities to provide front line safety and technical leadership. Ensuring safe effective and efficient execution of Scaffolding activities in accordance with the project schedule and compliance to safety, quality and technical policies procedures and standards. Providing technical support to all company functional teams. Provide technical guidance to assure Contractor compliance during planning and execution of Scaffolding operations.
This is a contract role with initial duration of 36 months working on a residential basis with 6-days per week / 10 hours per day. Please see details below:

Key Accountabilities
- Reports to NFS Construction Division Manager
- Demonstrates visible safety leadership and care for people.
- Act as the Company focal point for Scaffolding matters including approval of related documents submitted by Contractor.
- Ensures all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company and contractually defined policies, regulations, and standards.
- Apply contractual awareness protecting the Company position when engaging with Contractors on schedule, technical and cost issues.
- Establish and maintain relationships, communications with contractor and company functional teams (safety, quality, engineering, business).
- Coordination of all CPY support function ensuring safe and efficient delivery in line with the construction schedule
- Ensuring contractors ongoing competency processes and procedures are compliant to Company requirements and Qatar government regulations.
- Review and recommend improvements to ways of working, procedures and plans ensuring effective and smooth project execution.
- Participate in constructability and construction readiness reviews identifying improvement opportunities with contractor team.
- Understand the Advanced Work Pack process, confirming alignment with path of construction review progress identifying constraints and mitigations.
- Attend activity planning and risk assessment meetings, assist contractor in identifying schedule mitigations and improvements via the Advanced Work Packaging process.
- Undertakes daily walk-through of construction areas, confirming safety standards are maintained,
- Undertakes daily walk-through of construction areas, confirming efficiency of the work and compliance with the planned daily activities and overall construction schedule.
- Perform surveillance inspection and audits on the Contractors scaffolding materials and equipment and verifies its condition and validity.
- Review, approve and audit as required Contractors scaffolding plans, procedures, method statements, PTW and task instructions.
- Attends onsite safety meetings and toolbox talks to ensure there is a clear understanding of the activities that are to be performed.
- Review of contractors daily weekly and monthly reports analysing performance and verifying progress and status.
- Develops and issues CPY daily and weekly reports as directed by Line Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering in relevant discipline and/or recognised industry trade qualifications e.g., NVQ/City &Guilds, NACE, CITB/CISRS etc Valid certifications issued by Internationally Recognized bodies.
- More than (10) years proven experience within EPC and Client organization.
- Minimum of 15 years supervisory experience for scaffolding.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in scaffolding.
