JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials Coordinator - Iraq National to join our team in Basra Iraq on a 6/1 daily work

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinating the purchase of equipment and materials relating to transmission and distribution industries between the various projects and their teams
• Managing, directing and documenting shipping and receiving of all materials to various job sites, as well as coordinating priority shipments and backhauls with site contractors and warehouse
• Working with Amec Foster Wheeler Construction Coordinator and site contractor on getting Material Receiving Reports completed on time and resolving shortages and overages
• Creating, updating, maintaining and issuing Procurement Plans to contractors and project managers
• Notifying the project team and contractor on material status and advising on impact to the project schedule
• Working in and maintaining Sharepoint project files and records
• Electronic and hard copy file management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and materials control and coordination roles, preferably in a construction, heavy industry or inventory management environment. Transmission and Distribution experience and knowledge of electrical materials is an asset
• Advanced level of MS Word and Excel, including a good comfort level of working within a supply chain management software package.
• Sharepoint experience is an advantage
• Solid organization and communication skills and the demonstrated ability to lead and work in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and pick up on details.
