Our major Oil & Gas client is seeking a Jr. Cost Analyst to work at their facilities in Texas City, TX, on an initial 2-year contract.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve invoices for equipment rentals, materials, and labor for assigned contractors.
• Review and familiarize yourself with contractor contracts.
• Manage hiring plans and force reports for assigned contractors.
• Monitor planning progress versus worklist by assigned contractor.
• Ensure all jobs are properly planned, budgeted, and charged correctly (budgeted vs. actual costs).
• Track RFIs and review change orders, ensuring they are communicated to the appropriate groups and addressed in a timely manner.
• Report on project status and completion.
• Monitor contractor productivity and schedule adherence.
• Conduct contractor alignment meetings.

Requirements:

• High school diploma (required).
• College degree (preferred but not required); relevant fields include civil or mechanical engineering and accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years in cost analysis or project controls.
• Familiarity with construction concepts
• Excel skills, including navigation of pivot tables, handling large datasets, and using basic functions like lookups.
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
