Engineering Coordinator (Gas Pipeline Design)

Our Gas Advanced Design team is comprised of professional engineers and engineering support staff who impact the performance, safety, and reliability of our gas pipeline infrastructure through engineering design efforts and related projects. We are hiring an Engineering Coordinator to provide advanced support and guidance to our engineer drafters regarding the development of standards, templates, processes, procedures, and best practices for design and as-built packages for gas pipeline infrastructure projects. If you are proficient with AutoCAD design and have experience supporting infrastructure projects related to utilities, manufacturing, or construction, we want to hear from you!

What Will You be Doing?
  • Managing high-pressure natural gas pipeline projects including analyzing and determining scope, methods of construction, material usage, schedules, contracts, easements, and coordination with internal and external agencies
  • Tracking and documenting all materials for high-pressure natural gas pipeline projects, including heat numbers and mill test reports; performing quality checks on materials and usage during construction
  • Supporting design engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, and analyses; developing and maintaining cost estimates, schedules, and process and procedure documents
  • Managing subsurface utility engineering (SUE) process, and researching as-builts and utility infrastructure documents to ensure complete and accurate SUE process
  • Submitting and tracking 811 utility locate tickets, survey and staking requests, and potholing activities; creating pothole exhibits to capture field data; managing and coordinating pothole contractors
  • Inspecting the construction, installation, and maintenance of facilities, service lines, and equipment; tracking materials used, GPS data collection, and redline as-builts from internal crews and contractors
  • Preparing construction drawings (using AutoCAD Civil 3D) and materials specifications, and ensuring construction materials meet specifications

Who You Are
  • Associate's Degree in an engineering, construction, or technology field is valued
  • Experience supporting construction projects, determining scope, material usage, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • Experience with AutoCAD software and Plant and/or Civil 3D
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state pipeline safety regulations, particularly Title 49 CFR Part 192, is valued
  • Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license - this position requires conducting field site visits using a Utilities vehicle
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, establish and build relationships, and strong attention to detail
