- Oversee daily gas management, including nominations for Gas Transportation Agreements (GTAs) and Gas Supply Agreements (GSAs).
- Ensure contractual and regulatory compliance across power generation assets.
- Optimise gas transportation and supply nominations to reduce variable costs.
- Develop and maintain forecasting models for power station demand, gas usage, solar, and wind production.
- Monitor market conditions, including price fluctuations, demand shifts, and weather impacts.
- Provide commercial and contract management support, ensuring accurate execution of agreements.
- Assist in developing and enhancing systems and processes to manage APA's power purchase and gas agreements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth operations and market alignment.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Proven experience in trading, commercial operations, and contract management within the energy sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate and interpret complex data.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Economics, Engineering, Commerce, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work shift hours, including weekends and public holidays, supporting power asset operations.
- Commercially focused, with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage with key stakeholders across multiple divisions.
