General Summary:

The SME of Power Generation will be responsible for orchestrating technician support scheduling to meet 24/7 coverage of customer needs. This position will actively support customer arrangements in reference to assigned crews, act as the primary source of expertise and guidance on all matters related to power generation & distribution, as well as create documentation, standards, and best practices for power generation & distribution.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support the direct communication from the team to the management team. Divulging all needs, concerns, and issues that arise.
  • actively support customer arrangements in reference to the assigned crews.
  • MIRU (move in rig up), and RD (rig down) arrangements and window alignment.
  • Act as the primary source of expertise and guidance on all matters related to power generation and distribution.
  • Provide insights and direction in the development, design, and optimization of power systems.
  • Lead and contribute to R&D initiatives aimed at advancing power technologies.
  • Ensure all SOPs established and upheld from crew to crew.
  • Collaborate with project teams, offering technical guidance and ensuring best practices are upheld.
  • Offer technical support to sales and business development teams during client interactions.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for internal teams, ensuring they are equipped with the latest knowledge, skills, and tools.
  • Create and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for power generation and distribution.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing power systems and recommend enhancements.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in the industry and make recommendations for the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Oversee and provide technical guidance during the deployment of power generation and distribution systems in the field.
  • Collaborate with field teams to troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards during deployment phases.
  • Conduct field assessments to validate system performance and provide feedback for future enhancements.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation and distribution systems or similar applications.
  • Deep understanding of power layout design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with power standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across departments.
  • Must be computer proficient.
  • Proven communication and organizational skills to coordinate, communicate, and implement company goals.
  • Sensitive to confidential information.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Able to read, speak and write English.
  • Employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; climb up and down stairs.
  • talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; bending or stooping; squatting or crouching; kneeling; pushing or pulling; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Minimal safety hazards; general office working conditions.
  • Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, (FRC) gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
