Contract: 12 month
Position: Construction Superintendent
Project: 7MW Ground Mount - Other 6 MW project in Indiana
Travel: 100% on site 5 days a week - with occasional travel to Indiana
Expenses: Flights, Rental Cars, Mileage, Hotels, when traveling to Indiana only
Interview Times: 3rd Week of February - into Early March for 2nd rounds
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of construction renewables experience
- Electrical Background
- Supervising subcontractors
- QA/QC experience on site
- Communication with onsite personnel and engineers
- Must be able to read Drawings, blueprints, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical
- Must be very organized and communicative
Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and direct workers, including electricians, laborers, and subcontractors. This includes assigning tasks and managing performance.
- Training: Ensure that workers are properly trained on solar system installation processes, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
- Conflict Resolution: Address any interpersonal or work-related issues between team members to maintain a productive and positive environment.
- Safety Plans: Implement and enforce safety protocols and standards (OSHA or other local guidelines). Solar installations can involve heights, electrical work, and heavy equipment, so ensuring proper safety measures is critical.
- Site Inspections: Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure that safety regulations are followed.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations or injuries on-site, following proper reporting and response procedures.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure that the installation of the solar system adheres to industry standards, building codes, and the specifications outlined by the design team.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the work completed by the team, identifying any issues that need to be addressed and ensuring the quality of the materials used.
- Testing: Verify that the solar system's components, like panels, inverters, and wiring, are installed correctly and functioning as intended.
- Stakeholder Updates: Maintain open lines of communication with project managers, clients, and contractors. This includes reporting progress, issues, and potential delays.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of daily activities, including work completed, materials used, and any issues that arise. These records are essential for project tracking and compliance.
- Coordination with Other Teams: Work closely with other teams involved in the project, such as electrical engineers, permitting authorities, and quality assurance teams, to ensure smooth progress.
