Marketing Communications Manager: Asia

In this exciting role, we are looking for a strong Communications and Marketing professional. You will need to have a provable experience of the engineering services market in Asia and understand how the market supports regional infrastructure and energy system growth and development.

You would join our global team of communicators and marketers. We are trusted advisors to the business, working on multiple regional and global projects to support the positioning and growth of the Asia region.

This includes supporting business development efforts, mapping stakeholders, setting the messaging, identifying profiling opportunities and defining a calendar of internal and external tactical activity such as key speaking positions, industry trade shows, internal roadshows, and other leadership communications. You will also take a hands-on role in delivering some of this activity in collaboration with specialists in the broader Communications function.

In your role, you will take responsibility for communications and marketing activities (campaigns, events, conferences, sponsorships) in the region, aligning them to the priorities of the Asia leadership and businesses.

This includes:

• Working with the AMEA BP, and Comms & Marketing colleagues in creating external messages to enhance brand awareness and attract talent
• Driving market growth, bid positioning projects and campaigns
• Amplifying the voice of the regional CEO and key senior leaders both internally and externally
• Working hand-in-hand with regional communications and marketing leads
• Managing any external relationships with communications or event-based marketing vendors - PR firms, freelance/contract talent, etc.
• Supporting as needed, the business development activities of the business
• The role will deliver activities in Hong Kong, mainland China, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.

You will work in collaboration the Marketing and Digital Communications, External Communications and Internal Communications leads in the region to design and deliver campaigns and communications. As part of the Global Communications & Marketing team, you will also support regional deployment of global initiatives.

In this role you will more specifically:

Work closely with the Asia senior leadership team to develop priorities and deliver creative and innovative communications and marketing solutions

Consult and advise internal clients on marketing and communications strategies, tactics, optimal deployment cadence, measurement and continuous improvement.

Working with regional Comms and Marketing leads, create, socialize and deploy Asia integrated marketing and communications plan

Measure and evaluate effectiveness of all activities in the region

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients

Work with the AMEA (Australia, Asia, Middle East) business partner to deliver an integrated plan for the region.

Essential Criteria

• Degree in Marketing (preferred), Business, or Communications with at least 10 years of experience in a related role
• Experience in the professional engineering services/design and engineering industry is preferred with provable knowledge of the Engineering Services market in Asia
• Worked and resided in the Asian market for at least 10-years
• Ability to think strategically, see the big picture and broader company business objectives
• Ability to work effectively within a group, as well as independently, and enjoy working with different personality styles and management levels, both in person and across geographies
• Project management and prioritization skills
• 360-degree Marketing and Communications experience, with a strong emphasis on Marketing
• A focus on measuring performance and making data-driven decisions
• High levels of initiative and confidence to come up with, develop, share and deliver ideas
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and attention to detail
• Able to build relationships and influence people across cultures
• Proven experience working in a matrix environment
• Proven ability to report to and collaborate with senior leaders
