Are You Passionate About Powersports and Outdoor Equipment?
Do you have hands-on experience with motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, marine engines, and small engine repair? Are you eager to share your knowledge and shape the next generation of skilled technicians? West Ada School District is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Powersports and Outdoor Equipment Instructor to teach high school students the skills they need for careers in the powersports, outdoor equipment, and small engine industries.
As part of our Career & Technical Education (CTE) program, this role provides hands-on, real-world training, preparing students for postsecondary education and immediate career opportunities.

What You Will Do
  • Teach hands-on technical skills in diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of powersports and outdoor equipment, following Idaho CTE Standards.
  • Train students in engine performance, electrical systems, fuel systems, suspension, and safety procedures.
  • Instill essential employability skills such as problem-solving, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses, dealerships, and manufacturers to provide internship and apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Support students in SkillsUSA and other career-focused student organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards, proper tool usage, and shop procedures.
What We Are Looking For
  • Hands-on experience in powersports repair, small engine technology, or a related field.
  • Passion for mentoring and preparing students for high-demand careers in outdoor equipment industries.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and repairing motorcycles, ATVs, marine engines, snowmobiles, and small engines.
  • Must hold or qualify for an Occupational Specialist Certificate with an endorsement in Powersports or Outdoor Equipment (or be willing to obtain certification).
  • Commitment to professional development and staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.
