Your tasks

As Risk Manager Offshore Wind, you will play a pivotal role in the development and management of offshore wind farms in the UK. You will deliver end-to-end value by managing risks and opportunities throughout project development and construction of large offshore wind assets. Your work will directly influence the success of our projects and the global energy transition.

In this position, you will:
  • Manage and support the identification, capture and analysis of all emerging and enduring risks, opportunities, and uncertainties, ensuring dependencies are addressed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance risk and uncertainty management in project business cases.
  • Work with risk and opportunity owners and support them in managing and monitoring their responsibilities.
  • Be accountable for and support the development of clear and concise reports for senior management and Joint Venture partners to guide decision-making and provide an overview of risk exposure.
  • Continuously improve risk management methodologies and processes, ensuring consistent application across project lifecycles while maintaining flexibility where needed.
  • Develop strategies for managing residual risks and support the creation of business continuity plans.
  • Foster a transparent risk culture within project and asset teams, educating and guiding teams to adopt effective risk management practices.
  • Support integrated approach to Risk, Planning and Cost (inc. Commercial) within Project Teams.

Your profile

  • A graduate-level qualification in Engineering, Commercial, Risk Management, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience in CAPEX/OPEX risk management and risk modelling for large-scale projects.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working within multidiscipline projects and managing various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in risk management tools such as ARM, Safran, @Risk, or Excel-based analysis.
  • Previous offshore wind experience (highly desirable but not required).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills as well as structured and organized work approach, with the ability to coordinate work for others.
  • Ability to manage projects with shifting targets and undefined parameters, demonstrating proactive communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and experience to work in international, multidisciplinary teams and travel as needed.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken - German is a plus.

Working within the Risk Management of complex offshore windfarms and their construction is your expertise, and you are passionate about a future powered by sustainable energy. With a decade of hands-on experience in designing, building, and managing offshore wind farms in our company, you'll find yourself right at home in a corporate setting. Anticipate a diverse and engaging array of responsibilities that are as thrilling as they are significant.

We operate a hybrid policy and expect office attendance 3 days per week. The role will be based in our JV office in Blackfriars with occasional travel to Edinburgh or supplier sites as needed.
