IS Service Owner

Your role and responsibilities

As an IS Service Manager, you will lead the global operations of our Automation Platform, ensuring seamless service delivery across all business areas worldwide. Your responsibilities will include managing the platform's infrastructure, overseeing the in-house team that supports and enhances automation services, and addressing customer requirements and escalations efficiently. You will also be pivotal in strategizing improvements, aligning the platform's capabilities with the strategic goals of the IS organization. Additionally, you will collaborate with other department leaders to foster innovation and drive the adoption of automation technologies throughout the company The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the IS Area in Mexico. You will be mainly accountable for: • Delivering an IS service/support for the appropriate domain or subdomain of an IS solution to the relevant customer group, ensuring execution of requirements within budgeted costs and time schedule. • Supporting the installation/management/maintenance/optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IS service build or IS service delivery for the domain. • Managing assigned budget, if any, effectively and delivering activities within agreed schedules and costs. • Assisting in major incident & critical situation resolution.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with over 10 years of hands-on experience in large-scale IT infrastructure services.
  • Experience in IT Automation.
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions, particularly Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform, and a strong understanding of automation practices to enhance deployment efficiency.
  • Knowledge of automated testing, linting, and static code analysis is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in Git (Software development/Better practice), including experience with branching, merging, rebasing, and conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with Git workflows, such as Git Flow or GitHub Flow, is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with development, operations, and security teams, with strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration across different function.
  • Knowledge in major cloud services like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Capable of automating cloud-native services to streamline consumption and boost adoption.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, YAML, or Python for automation tasks.
  • Proven experience in managing a global team and supporting global customers, with a strong ability to lead and mentor.
  • Advanced English is required.
