Wood is currently recruiting for a Contract Administrator (contract) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical, renewable energy and energy transition industries. This position will be hired on a temporary contractor basis for a period of 12 months working in Central Paris in a EPC contractors office on a IPMT contract.

The successful candidate will be part of an integrated project management team with Wood's client, managing the main EPC Contractor on a major project to be built in UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large UK energy transition project as part of a Wood integrated project management team in the EPC Contractors offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All aspects of EPC Contractor contract administration
  • Management of payment applications, contract compliance and progress reports
  • Management of contractual correspondence, including preparation of letters and other contractual notices
  • Drafting and reviewing of contract amendments
  • Management of contract variations, including maintaining a Potential Claims Log, preparing variations and negotiations with the EPC Contractor
  • Reporting of status of variations
  • Active involvement in client Change Board including regular multi-discipline meetings to review potential changes and approve path forward
  • Active involvement in Early Warning Notice reviews and reporting
  • Oversight of procurement activities and in particular EPC Contractor's reporting and any delays/issues
  • Review and respond to Subcontractor Prequalification requests from EPC Contractor
  • Advice to Project Management on contractual matters


QUALIFICATIONS

What makes you remarkable?
  • An appropriate professional technical or legal qualification
  • Extensive experience in the commercial and contractual management of EPC Contractors in the oil and gas petrochemicals and renewable energy and energy transition contracting environments, relevant European experience is preferred
  • A good understanding of the oil and gas petrochemical and renewable energy and energy transition contracting environments
  • A sound working knowledge of NEC Construction contracts is preferred
  • Detailed understanding of key contract risks, with the ability to develop and manage risk mitigations to closure
  • Broad experience in developing and negotiating variations with EPC Contractors
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex and detailed commercial and contractual issues and to develop and present solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and contractors, for the benefit of the project
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the integrated project management team
