Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

As Project Lead Offshore Cables, you will oversee the design, manufacturing, and installation of two 525kV HVDC offshore cable systems for the Doordewind offshore grid connection. Your work will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution while aligning with TenneT's sustainability and innovation goals.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Developing strategies to optimize project execution, working closely with various departments within TenneT.
- Leading and managing interfaces between offshore cables, nearshore sections, and offshore platforms to ensure seamless integration.
- Overseeing project preparations, including execution plans, basic designs, offshore route surveys, and securing permits.
- Managing relationships with main cable contractors, ensuring high performance in both technical and commercial aspects.
- Ensuring compliance with SHE (Safety, Health, Environment), security, budget, risk, and quality requirements.
- Building and leading a collaborative, multidisciplinary project team and coordinating with other project leads.
- Contributing to the standardization and optimization of offshore grid connection projects.
Your profile and background
- We are looking for a proactive, strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic and innovative environment. If you enjoy leading projects that shape the future of offshore energy and working with cross-functional teams, this role is for you!
- At least 3 years of experience in a comparable role (preferably offshore cables) or 5+ years in technical/project management of large-scale offshore or infrastructure projects.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field (engineering, energy, or similar), or equivalent experience.
- Experience with tender processes and commercial contract management (experience with FIDIC contracts is a plus).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and disciplines.
- Preferably IPMA C certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Willingness to travel when required for project needs.
