Key Responsibilities:
- Research and evaluate new technologies, including AI, automation, and predictive maintenance tools.
- Challenge conventional thinking to find innovative solutions that improve asset reliability.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and senior leadership to shape the future of asset management.
- Implement data-driven decision-making processes to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, reducing downtime and operational risks.
- Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost-effective asset management.
- Ad-hoc site visits as required to support operational needs and ensure asset integrity.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Considerable engineering experience in asset management, maintenance, or reliability.
- Experience in energy, mining, or chemical industries preferred.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience driving innovation and operational improvements.
- A strong interest in AI, automation, and emerging technology, with a willingness to research and implement new solutions.
- Problem-solving mindset, with a passion for challenging traditional ways of working.
- Financial and commercial acumen, ensuring cost-effective asset lifecycle management.
- RPEQ registration (or ability to obtain within six months).
- Chartered membership of a relevant engineering professional organization (desirable).
