Wood is recruiting for a Operations Readiness Advisor to be based in Basra, Iraq.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports To: Operations Readiness Team Lead.
This Role is dedicated for following up the readiness of projects. The occupant is responsible for ensuring that the operational elements of the project are thoroughly prepared and aligned before implementation. This role involves evaluating operational readiness, identifying risks, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, and providing assurance that all operations are set up for successful startup and handover. The Advisor will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess operational capabilities and assist in delivering smooth transitions into operational status.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports To: Operations Readiness Team Lead.
This Role is dedicated for following up the readiness of projects. The occupant is responsible for ensuring that the operational elements of the project are thoroughly prepared and aligned before implementation. This role involves evaluating operational readiness, identifying risks, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, and providing assurance that all operations are set up for successful startup and handover. The Advisor will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess operational capabilities and assist in delivering smooth transitions into operational status.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Ops Readiness Plan ORP and ensure that all operational readiness activities are tracked, monitored. Ensure actual Vs Planed progress are aligned
- Located on site to ensure positive communications with project team and construction/commissioning contractors in order to early Identify gaps in processes, resources, and work closely with them in collaborative work environment
- Review HZOP Report and ensure the implementation of all HAZOP actions / Recommendations
- Identify risks related to operation, develop and implement risk mitigation and ensure that operational risks are minimized through careful planning and oversight
- Follow up the handover of the facilities from project to Operations
- Ensure the operational deliverables from projects are achieved
- Provide regular updates to leadership on the status of operational readiness and risk mitigation efforts
- Review/ Update the training plan & follow up on vendor training and the job training requirement
- Interface and Coordination with Vendors and OEM representatives
- Issue, Review, and engage in ORA, SQs
- Support the commissioning phase including attending the Walkdowns, reviewing the commissioning tests procedures & the performance test
- Develop and maintain detailed readiness documentations, action tracker, risk registers, and lessons learned
- Review, Develop, and validate all documentations related to the projects (O&M Manual, initial STU Procedures, SOP, P&IDs, etc)
- Support the preparation of Start-up and ensure successful and safe Start Up of the new facilities
- Involved in the PSSR Review and close out to ensure the readiness for the startup
QUALIFICATIONS
- The applicant must have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in Field operations and processing systems in the oil and gas industry
- Engineering education certificate in chemical/Mechanical/ Petroleum major
- Minimum of 5 years working in an international oil and gas operation, in a day-to-day operations support role involved in supporting operational risk management, production optimization and defect elimination
- Strong multidiscipline experience in O&G system commissioning, start-up and operations
- Recognized O&G process start up background and very familiar with O&G process equipment, start-up and operation
- Overall understanding of the project schedule, project plan and the importance of timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Experience in risk management, compliance, and process improvement
- Experience working in a complex operational environment with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders
- Candidate to demonstrate strong coaching skills developed in multi-national projects with diverse nationalities and cultures
