Join our team as a Nurse and provide occupational health services for a major client in the Bonnyville, Alberta area. This is a full-time contract position with a duration of 1 year.
Role Overview
- Provide and document occupational health services for employees and others at multiple sites or operations.
- Develop local policies and procedures in consultation with other Occupational Health professionals.
- Determine and communicate Fitness For Work and train others in this service.
- Perform, analyze, and evaluate Health Screening data to identify workplace exposures.
- Train external medical service providers to ensure services are delivered according to company guidelines.
- Coordinate Alcohol and Drug Use testing services as needed.
- Actively participate in Medical and Occupational Health committees and projects.
- Manage clinic resources effectively and appropriately.
Skills & Qualifications
- Analytical and effective communication skills.
- Clinical case management, testing, and exposure assessment and controls.
- Knowledge of health education, infectious disease control, medical ethics, and occupational health laws and regulations.
- Detailed knowledge of occupational medicine, emergency medical response, and toxicology.
- Licensed in the location of operations supported.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in occupational health care.
- Experience with Occupational Medicine, Emergency Medical Response, and Toxicology.
