Your role and responsibilities

As a Global Product Specialist - ELSE Modernization PL you will be accountable for the profitable growth of the portfolio under your responsibility, inside the Modernization Product Line. You will support the business results of by overseeing all steps of the offering lifecycle and managing its marketing in accordance with market needs and division strategy and targets. Perform various offering life cycle activities supporting development, launch, configuration & pricing, maintenance, and sales/profitability reporting. • Collect and analyze market requirements, customer needs and values, global & local Standards spec, and their impact on the product/service portfolio, as an input for producing a product development roadmap. From identified opportunities, support the Global Product Line Manager in creating the strategy for service products/solutions development projects or service products/solutions transfers within the ELSE primary Service Centers. • Manage the technical specification of product assigned and develop the business case for service products/solutions developments, maintenance, and cost reduction. • Maintains and follows annual cycle of activities to govern product management for assigned offering from design to delivery. • Support Global and Local marketing commercialization teams; prepare market communication materials, including support for new product/service launches. Define product/service configuration & positioning within the portfolio, with defined values per product/service line to address different segment needs. • Support Local Service organizations to offer and deliver services and solutions. Provide sales support, participate in customer meetings and attend trade shows on request; support marketing programs and ensure appropriate training material is available for use both internally and externally. • Participate in annual business planning and regular monitoring of global sales/profitability targets fulfilment, along the year and as defined in along mid/long term Division strategy • Participate in creating a Digital and Sustainability strategy for the assigned offering portfolio, supporting ABB and the Division's commitment to circular economy

Qualifications for the role

• Requires 5-8 of experience with 2 - 5 years in product management, product development or related experience with global or regional scope
• Degree in business, engineering, or related field (or equivalent & relevant industry experience)
• Availability for domestic and international travel.
• Strong communication skills, ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
• Strategic thinking, able to analyze and manage complex business situations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Assertiveness and ability to work in a virtual team.
• Knowledge of electrical power system/electrical distribution applications and associated products and services.
