Bells and Whistles:
The Role:
As a Nuclear Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe preparation and distribution of life-saving medications for healthcare providers. You will assist in daily operations, uphold safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to support patient care.
What You'll Do
• Achieves efficiency in dose drawing of unit-dose syringes.
• Performs daily Dose Calibrator constancies.
• Maintains proper daily and weekly cleaning and disinfecting procedures for sterile areas.
• Conducts daily wipes and surveys.
• Demonstrates proficiency in radiopharmaceutical quality control testing.
• Prepares and labels white blood cells for WBC studies.
• Accurately processes all customer orders received via fax, remote order entry, or verbal telephone communication, entering them into Excel and BioRx.
• Maintains knowledge of account locations and designated delivery routes.
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of RAM during delivery procedures.
• Utilizes survey and wipe meters correctly.
• Conducts wipe testing, labeling, packaging, and shipment of doses in BioRx in compliance with DOT standards.
• Processes return boxes, including breakdown and disinfecting of shipping pigs.
• Completes ancillary tasks such as WBC kits, FedEx pickups, and sample processing.
• Manages and rotates inventory, placing orders from vendors as needed.
• Receives drug orders and enters them into the pharmacy software system.
• Prepares drug and supply inventory for use in the clean room or DOT procedures.
• Identifies expired products for disposal, destruction, or return to the manufacturer.
• Processes invoices for Accounts Payable approval and payment.
• Assists with monthly customer billing.
• Performs general cleaning, organization, record-keeping, and filing duties.
Qualifications
The Successful Candidate:
✔ High School Diploma Required (Associate's/Bachelor's Preferred)
✔ Florida Pharmacy Technician Certification
✔ Valid Florida Driver's License & Clean Driving Record
✔ Minimum 10 Hours of Annual Continuing Education (Including CGMP, Regulatory Updates, & Quality Improvement)
✔ Strong Attention to Detail, Organization, & Multi-Tasking Skills
✔ Proficiency in Excel & Word
