JFT is searching for a Project Manager to join our Team in Loveland, CO. We are looking for someone who strives to bring out the best in people and projects, while delivering results for our customers. Successful candidates will have knowledge and awareness of project management principles, documents, and plans while demonstrating sound leadership and analytical skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail is essential. JFT will accept applications until this position is filled. JFT offers some work from home flexibility, but candidates must be within commuting distance to the office.

Job Functions:
  • Lead all aspects of the day-to-day project management including engineering, tooling, production, operations, administration, and subcontracts.
  • Responsible for contract and contract change management, working with customers to define changes in scope and quantifying estimate and schedule impacts.
  • Develop and deliver project schedules and resource plans for project execution.
  • Manage and monitor project costs and report cost forecasts to management.
  • Authorize the issuance of contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and approve supplier invoices for payment.
  • Support sales activities including technical sales, proposal management, writing, and cost estimating.
  • Prepare weekly reports and other departmental projects as needed.
  • Create and modify various documents using Microsoft Office suite including meeting materials and PowerPoint presentations.

Typical Working Conditions:

Primarily an office environment with periodic exposure to the fabrication/machine shop and outdoor testing areas. Depending on the project, there may be occasional travel to customer job sites. JFT has implemented a 9/80 work schedule, and the office is closed every other Friday.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work on a computer (standing or sitting) for most of the day and operate standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members, customers and vendors is essential. May occasionally lift and carry items, typically under 25lbs.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree with at least 7 years of experience in project management and 5 years of nuclear industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of commercial nuclear power plants including BWR and PWR reactor internals preferred.
  • Experience with complex engineering design and fabrication.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and sub-projects simultaneously with accuracy.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, both over the phone and in person with our customers and internal departments.
  • Strong sense of urgency, problem-solving and administrative skills.
  • Able to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements including subcontracts, both fixed price and reimbursable.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management with the ability to report project status clearly and succinctly.
  • Skilled in leadership with the ability to guide the project team towards successful outcomes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel, and Primavera P6 experience is a plus.
  • Travel is required for this position with up to 20% travel anticipated.
  • PMP or working towards achieving.
  • This position requires the incumbent to work with export-controlled items.
